Depending on the mobility of these ions, the water portion passes through the membrane and very low amount of salts will pass through the membrane. Thus the filtered water has about 10% TDS. this process will remove Bacteria, Virus, Protozoa and reduce harmful chemicals namely Fluorides, Nitrates, Pesticides, Lead, Mercury, Arsenic etc.
