Reverse Osmosis is a separation process, in which a solvent, water in this case is permitted to pass through a semi permeable membrane, leaving behind the dissolved solids called Cations and Anions Depending on the mobility of these ions, the water portion passes through the membrane and very low amount of salts will pass through the membrane. Thus the filtered water has about 10% TDS. This process will remove Bacteria, Virus, Protozoa and reduce the harmful chemicals namely Fluorides, Nitrates, Pesticides, Leads, Mercury, Arsenic etc.
