Reverse Osmosis is a separation process, in which a solvent, water in this case, is permitted to pass through a semi permeable membrane, leaving behind the dissolved solid Depending on the mobility of these ions, the water portion passes through the membrane and very low amount of salt will pass through the membrane. Thus the filtered water has about 10% TDS. This process will remove Bacteria, Virus, Protozoa and reduce the harmful chemical namely Fluoride, Nitrates, Pesticides, Lead, Mercury, Arsenic etc.
